                      Here are my top 5

brands that bears the names of

              Greek and Roman Mythology

 1.)

Olympus Corporation

is a Japanese manufacturer of optics and reprography products. Olympus was established on 12 October 1919, initially specializing in microscope and thermometer businesses.

OLYMPOS (Olympus) was the home of the gods who dwelt in fabulous palaces of marble and gold.
Olympos is clearly described in Homer's Iliad. It was essentially an ancient akropolis--a fortified hill-top and palace complex--located just below the peaks of Mount Olympos. The golden gates of the heavenly fortress were guarded by the three Horai (Horae) and it contained the palace of Zeus, lesser palaces for the other gods, and stables for the immortal horses. The buildings were built of stone with bronze foundations and were surrounded by cloistered courtyards with golden pavements.

"Olympus is a great Greek mountain said to be the residence           of the gods. Thus, the term Olympian was revered as something        exalted or majestic. Today, Olympus is known to be a camera                  maker, hoping to help you get majestic shots."

                                   2.)

Mars
is a British chocolate bar. It was first manufactured in 1932 in England, and was advertised to the trade as being made with Cadbury's chocolate couverture.

MARS was the God of war and also an agricultural guardian. A combination characteristic of early Rome. Mars is usually considered to be the son of Jupiter and Juno. He was second in importance only to Jupiter and he was the most prominent of the military gods in the religion of the Roman army.
Mars was the father of Romulus and Remus with Rhea Silvia. His love affair with Venus symbolically reconciled the two different traditions of Rome's founding; Venus was the divine mother of the hero Aeneas, celebrated as the Trojan refugee who "founded" Rome several generations before Romulus laid out the city walls.

"Mars is the Roman god of war. He is Ares to the Greeks. Now, Mars is a well-known candy bar company responsible for wars of sweet taste in our mouths. (Although it was named after its founder, Franklin Mars)"

                                           3.)
Hermès International S.A.

Hermes of Paris, or simply Hermès. is a French high fashion luxury goods manufacturer established in 1837. Its logo, since the 1950s, is of a Duc carriage with horse. Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski is the current creative director.

Hermes
is an Olympian god in Greek religion and mythology, the son of Zeus and the Pleaiad Maia and the second youngest of the Olympian gods (Dionysus being the youngest).
Hermes is considered a god of transitions and boundaries. He is described as quick and cunning, moving freely between the worlds of the mortal and divine. He is also portrayed as an emissary and messenger of the gods, an intercessor between mortals and the divine, an conductor of soul into the afterlife. He has been viewed as the protector and patron of herdmen, thieves, oratory and wit, literature and poetry, athletics and sports, invention and trade, roads, boundaries and travelers.
Messenger of the gods, god of trade, thieves, travelers, sports, athletes, border crossings, guide to the Underworld

"Hermes is the messenger of the Greek gods. Today, it’s known to the world as the maker of expensive scarves and handbags. (Although Hermes was named after Thierry Hermes)"

                                   4.)

Ajax
is a brand of cleaning products, introduced by Colgate-Palmolive in 1947 for a powdered household and industrial cleaner. It was one of the company's first major brands. The cleanser ingredients include sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate, sodium carbonate, and quartz.

Ajax is a mythological Greek hero, the son of King Telamon and Periboea, and the half-brother of Teucer. He plays an important role, and is portrayed as a towering figure and a warrior of great courage in Homer's Iliad and in the Epic Cycle, a series of epic poems about the Trojan War. He is also referred to as "Telamonian Ajax", "Greater Ajax", or "Ajax the Great", which distinguishes him from Ajax, son of Oileus (Ajax the Lasser). In Etruscan mythology, he is known as Aivas Tlamunus.

"Ajax was a Greek warrior famous for his participation in the Trojan War. But long after Troy was torn down into pieces, Ajax is still pretty famous, only as a popular kitchen and bathroom cleanser."

                                                   5.)
Janus Films
is a film distribution company. The distributor is credited with introducing numerous films, now considered masterpieces of world cinema, to American audiences, including the films of Michaelangeo Antonni, Sergei Eistein, Ingmar Bergman, Federico Fellini, Akira Kurosawa, Fracois Ruffaut, and many other well-regarded directors. Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal (1957) was the film responsible for the company's initial growth. Janus has a close relationship with the Criterion Collection regarding the release of its films on DVD and is still an active theatrical distributor.

Janus
is the god of beginnings, gates, transitions, time, duality, doorways, passages, and endings. He is usually depicted as having two faces, since he looks to the future and to the past. It is conventionally thought that the month of January is named for Janus (lanurias),but according to ancient Roman farmers' almanacs Juno was the tutelary deity of the month. Janus presided over the beginning and ending of conflict, and hence war and peace. The doors of his temple were open in time of war, and closed to mark the peace. As a god of transitions, he had functions pertaining to birth and to journeys and exchange, and in his association with Portnus, a similar harbor and gateway god, he was concerned with travelling, trading and shipping.

"Janus, the two-faced god is the Roman god of vigilance and wisdom. Now, it is a name for a high-profile investment company, just as Janus is vigilant and wise, the company keeps watch of investments people make."
